Aftercare
Absorbent Bandage
Absorbent Pad secured with compression/surgical tape.
*great for people with adhesive allergies*
Remove within 4-6 hours of your completed appointment
Wash with warm water and unscented liquid soap (I use dial LIQUID antibacterial soap) worked into a thick lather, hover your fingers in circles over the tattoo, letting just the lather touch the fresh tattoo. R inse with warm water, pat dry with a fresh paper towel (NEVER a rag) or air dry.
Apply a small amount of Unscented gentle lotion (I use Lubriderm) rub gently over the tattoo. Less is more!
Repeat twice a day!
Dermal Shield
I use Derm Shield currently, but there are a lot of brands! It's a transparent, water resistant, adhesive bandage.
The first piece should be left on up to 24 hours
Remove by running it under warm water for a few minutes, then peel it off gently.
Apply your second piece, this one can be left on for up to 6 days.
After the second piece comes off, start washing twice a day (see absorbent bandage side) until all the scabs fall off naturally. If the bandage feels like it is peeling too much or causing irritation please feel free to check in or take it off and switch to the bandage side of aftercare any time!
